Mission

Welcome to the Waco Public Schools Alumni Association. We are a support unit based in Waco, Texas, working to enhance Waco Public Schools through alumni programming, advocacy, fundraising and volunteer action.

The Waco Public Schools Alumni Association has recently been established to help keep graduates of Waco Public Schools in touch with the District and with their classmates. The Alumni Association continues to enlist members in several different categories.

You do not have to be a graduate of Waco ISD to be a member of the Waco Public Schools Alumni Association. We already have many members who did not graduate from Waco ISD who wish to keep in contact with old friends from the district.

If you would like to volunteer your time with the Alumni Association, please contact the Waco ISD Education Foundation office at (254)755-WISD (9473). The Alumni Association office is located on the 10th floor of the Waco ISD Administration building, 501 Franklin in downtown Waco. The office is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In addition to providing graduates of Waco Public Schools a connection to their classmates, the Alumni Association will be providing a presence at class reunions, maintain a database of updated names and addresses and publish a biannual newsletter.

The Alumni Association would like to be informed of any reunions that are being planned. If you know the contact person for your reunion, please notify the Alumni Association office at (254)755-WISD (9473) or e-mail your information to alumni@wacoisd.org.

Waco Public Schools has an alumni directory published by the Bernard C. Harris Publishing Company. The most recent printing if this directory is the 2001 edition. You can e-mail Harris Publishing at customerservice@bcharrispub.com. The 1997 directories are available through the Waco Public Schools Alumni Association and cost $23.50.

The Waco Public Schools Alumni Association is affiliated with the Waco ISD Education Foundation. The Waco ISD Education Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization established to raise money for educational programs that are not covered by school budgets or tax dollars. To keep the alumni of Waco ISD in touch, the Alumni Association has established an e-mail address for easy, electronic communication. The new e-mail address is alumni@wacoisd.org. Please help the Alumni Association stay connected to thousands of graduates by sending any information on address changes, name changes, funerals, and new additions to families.
