The Public Information
Department provides district news and information
to customers and employees using a variety of public
relations practices. The department is responsible
for the development and updates to the web site
you are currently visiting. Other services include
the operation of WISD-TV Channel 17, a 24-hour educational
access channel available on both Time-Warner Cable
and Grande Communications. Publication services
include a community newsletter (The Bridge), annual
report, employee E-newsletter (Recess), review of
school board action (School Zone) and various topical
brochures. Additional services include media relations,
open records requests and crisis communication.
