To facilitate the services campuses provide for second language learners in order to promote quality, consistent and effective differentiated instruction that results in increased levels of student success and lifelong learners.

The Bilingual/ESL Department assists the principals and teachers with curriculum, instruction, and assessment for Limited English Proficient (LEP) students; it also works with campuses to ensure compliance. The department assists the district and campuses in making instructional decisions, gathering and analyzing data. Additional services include providing staff development, developing lesson plans with teachers, grade levels or other departments. Other services include providing modeling for instruction, assessments and classroom management, observing teaching and providing feedback, and locating resources for campuses and teachers.
