Cinco de Mayo at South Waco was a big success.

As parents and children arrived, they were invited to visit their child’s classrooms to see the wall to wall art projects the children had created to celebrate Hispanic Culture.  Also on display were the Gifted and Talented projects. Promptly at 5:45, the Baylor Latin Dance Society performed.  Children watched in amazement as this dynamic duo hit the floor.

Baylor also provided and served an enchilada/taco dinner as a fundraiser for the South Waco PTA.  While parents were eating, children enjoyed face painting and mask making.  As parents visited the classroom, South Waco students roamed the halls performing mariachi music.  There was also Zumba and Mexican Bingo to round out the evening.  There was even a visit from Dora the Explorer!

What a fun night!
