Making good use of new laboratories

As you walk into James Villa's science class at ATLAS Academy, you might get the impression that things are about to get a little dicey. On the contrary, safety is of the utmost importance, and the kids are highly engaged with the coolest labs. Every kid gets hands-on exploration of the world of science and see real world applications like never before. Some of the more tricky concepts like density become very simple as the students see the concepts right before their eyes.

One of the students,Raul Silva, said “The class keeps you interested because you get out of the textbook and get to do a hands-on experiment. It helps because we know what we are doing when we are working in the lab.”

Three new science labs were built on the Tennyson Middle School campus a year and a half ago.
