Sara and TyreseEach year, the Northwest Rotary Club of Waco provides scholarships for deserving Waco High School students to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp. RYLA camp provides more than one hundred outstanding high school student students an opportunity to hone their leadership skills through cabin activities, group discussions, athletic events, educational workshops and team building exercises.

Waco High 11th-graders Sara White and Tyrese Beasley enjoyed this year's camp during the week of June 28-July 3 at McKinney Roughs Nature Park near Bastrop. Both described the experience as “amazing” and look forward to modeling their leadership skills on campus. Sara is a cheerleader while Tyrese enjoys playing football. Sara's brothers Sylvester and Stefan are former RYLA camp participants who are now attending Texas State University.

Thank you, Rotary Club of Waco, for providing this wonderful opportunity for Sara and Tyrese: Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow.
