UHS Cadets sacrifice personal time for communityOnly the fourth week of the new school year but already the University High School JROTC battalion has completed two community service projects. On Saturday, September 5, the cadets gave up a large part of their weekend to pick up trash on Highway 6 and to provide help at the 10th year anniversary banquet of the Family of Faith Worship Church.

The Trojan Battalion, under the leadership of 1SG (Ret) Leonard Montelongo Jr., is noted for its volunteer service. During the 2014-2015 school year, the cadets performed 3,138 hours of community service and 2,362 hours of school service. That's a grand total of 5,500 hours.

Awesome Job Cadets!!!
