University High School Introduction to Engineering students visited with over 40 STEM related professionals at the Waco Convention Center on Tuesday October 13th.
The students were given the opportunity to play games, solve brief challenges, and witness various solutions around Waco including how and where our water is treated, how products are created using 3D printing, what Byalor, MCC, and TSTC are doing to respond to the growing field of engineering, as well as visit with dozens of professionals from STEM careers around Waco including T-Squared Manufacturing, Caterpillar, Capstone, Alcoa, City of Waco Engineering and Street Departments, Atmos Energy, and more.
The purpose of the trip and much of the Introduction to Engineering curriculum focuses on the exploration of career opportunities in Engineering, particularly here locally.
