University High School is proud and excited to be the recipient of a generous grant from the Education Service Center Region 12 Technology Foundation. In a surprise announcement on March 19, the school received $4,881 for its grant application entitled "Raising the Bar for Rocketry." The funding will be used to further enhance a growing rocketry program in the A.J. Moore Academy of Engineering.
The ESC Region 12 Technology Foundation was formed in 2012 as part of a vision to continually leverage resources and drive more money to students and teachers in the classroom. The focus of the foundation is to help Region 12 schools with technology programs and to place instructional technology into the hands of students. Grant applications are accepted in the fall. Grants are awarded in the spring.
