WHS Career Preparation provides opportunities for students to participate in a learning experience that combines classroom instruction with paid business and industry employment experiences and supports strong partnerships among school, business, and community stakeholders.
The main purpose of career preparation education programs is to provide students with opportunities for obtaining experience and developing skills related to anticipated careers through on-the-job training at businesses and industries. In addition to skill development, emphasis is placed on the development of good work habits, responsibility, character, and leadership.
To take part in the program a student must:
1. Be a Junior or Senior in good standing for graduation
2. Be employed at least 15 hours per week
3. Have own transportation to and from work
