SANCTUARY HOUSE held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of “A Family Housing Collaborative” between The Salvation Army-Waco, Waco ISD Homeless Outreach, The City of Waco HOME program, Waco Housing Authority & Affiliates, and Junior League of Waco.  The housing program will provide three furnished apartments on an emergency short-term basis for Waco ISD families. The Salvation Army will link residents with community referrals and rapid re-housing financial assistance, and residents will be required to work towards permanent housing goals. It is a great “sanctuary” for families in Waco ISD who are vulnerable to homelessness… every child deserves a warm bed and roof over their head.

Sanctuary House is located on the edge of Downtown Waco, at 800 Clay Avenue, with a view of the Magnolia “Silos” from the front porch.
