Lions, Midway battle in Bush's Chicken Night at Waco ISD Stadium

TerrenceWaco HS (3-0) will try to stay unbeaten against cross-town rival Midway (1-2) Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Waco ISD Stadium.

The Lions are off to their best start in nine years, opening with three straight wins over 6A teams. Their high powered offense averages nearly 35 points and 450 yards per game, much of that with a speedy ground attack led by junior Terrance Hamilton. He's rushed for at least 100 yards in each of those victories.

New Midway coach Jeff Hulme saw his Panthers open with losses to state powers Cedar Park and Cedar Ridge, but then bounce back to defeat Temple last week 26-20.

It will be Bush's Chicken Night at the stadium with every attendee getting a coupon for a free drink with any purchase of the chain's new Buffalo Bites.  In addition to the battle on the gridiron, the two teams kept score in the inaugural Bush's Buffalo Bites Chow Down.  We'll announce at the game which team's players ate the most of Bush's spicy Buffalo Bites in 60 seconds to win a prize for their team.
