Lions, Trojans to play college football

Five Waco High Lions and three Trojans from University High inked letters of intent Wednesday to continue their football careers for college teams.

Once a Trojan, always a Trojan, but the UHS athletes will also be Lions soon.  Workhorse running back Nick Ward, Eillie McDonald and Andres Sustaita all signed to stay on the same team in college, deciding to play for the Southwestern Assembly of God Lions.

Waco High's Will Richards III, a standout quarterback and student who missed much of his senior year with an injury, will play football at Howard Payne along with Lion teammate De'Jour Silmon.  Edward McFloyd signed a letter of intent with Northwestern Oklahoma, La'Daidreain Glasker will anchor the defense at UT-Permian Basin, and Dwain Richie will play his next football at Cisco Junior College.

Congratulations to all Waco ISD players and their coaches for their successes on the field and in the classroom!
