Family Engagement

Parents make the difference in a student's educational success!

Parenting is tough, challenging, and one of the most important things you can do. At Waco ISD, we welcome partnerships with families. We know that research has proven that engaging in real conversations and meaningful relationships with families has significant and sustained effects on student learning.

Each of our campuses work to provide meaningful opportunities for parent engagement in student achievement.  We invite you to explore the many resources available for parents at our campuses designed to meet the needs of the unique populations served. We also invite you to participate at the district level through bi-annual Parent Advisory Committee meetings and district activities such as Family Fest.

District Parent Involvement Policy

Each year, the district works with parents and community members to design and evaluate a district-wide Parent Involvement Policy. If you'd like to be involved in the process, call the Office of Compensatory Education Services today for more information!
