Description

Introduction:

For the year 2013, WIN will offer female student conference scholarships. Each scholarship will provide the recipient with a one-year WIN membership, paid conference fee for that year, hotel fee paid for 2 nights based on sharing a room with another recipient and WIN Conference travel. As many entrants as financially possible will receive scholarships based on application competiveness and the annual allotted scholarship budget funding. This year’s conference will be held in Phoenix, Arizona at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on May 5th thru 7th.

The following information must be received as one packet for scholarship consideration by March 8th, 2013

Criteria:

  • Be a full-time student at a secondary or post-secondary institution enrolled in a collision repair technology program and must provide complete school contact confirmation and complete instructor contact information.
  • A short essay answering the following question "Why am I studying to be a collision repair technician?"

Separate page listing current contact information including name, address, phone numbers and email

Information about the scholarship opportunity will be sent to collision repair technology programs from the Collision Repair Education Foundation and NATEF program lists. A press release will be sent out and information will be posted on the WIN website and appear in WIN Conference materials.

Selection:

The applicant’s criteria packet and WIN Conference Form is to be sent to the WIN Scholarship Committee for review and recommendation to the WIN Board. The Board will give the final approval. The Scholarship Committee will contact and handle arrangements for the recipients with the Conference Committee and assign a mentor to serve as a hostess at the conference.
