Custodian of the Year is at Parkdale
Paul Watkins has spent a lot of time at school. As a custodian for Waco ISD, he is beginning his 18th year in the district. He currently works at Parkdale Elementary where he keeps the old building looking spic-and-span. Earlier this year, Watkins was named "Custodian of the Year" by Keep Waco Beautiful. It was not the first time for Watkins to be honored for the excellent job that he performs. Each day he greets the students and faculty with a smile and tackles the immense job of keeping the school and all of its classrooms and grounds neat, clean and well-organized. He said that winning the award will not affect his daily routine at all. "I intend to keep doing my job and doing it well. This is what I do…helping kids."
