Industry certifications are an important component
of Career and Technology Education programs. Certification opportunities
are one avenue through which the State Plan for Career and Technology
Education fulfills its goals for preparing students to (1) manage
the dual roles of family member and wage earner; and (2) gain
entry level employment in a high-skill, high-wage job or continue
their education at the postsecondary level.
