  About the Sports Complex

 

Located at the corner of New Road and Bagby Avenue, our address is 1401 S.New Road, Waco, Texas 76711. We are approximately one-half mile from IH 35. When traveling to the complex, use the New Road exit from IH 35 or the Bagby Avenue exit from Loop 340 (Highway 6).

  Stadium Seating
 
  The stadium seats a total of 11,500.
  The home side grandstands seat 6,500, including 940 reserve chairback seats.
  The visitor side grandstands seat 5,000.
  Wheelchair accessibility and viewing are on both sides.
 
  Playing Surface
 
 
  The field is an ASTROPLAY artificial playing surface.
  Excellent drainage provides a great surface in all conditions.
 
  Scoreboard & Sound System
 
 
  The field features a 17' x 40' scoreboard.
  The scoreboard has a high resolution 9' x 15' instant replay/images screen.
  The stadium has a state of the art sound system that is equipped to play cassettes and CDs.
 
  Fieldhouse
 
 
  The fieldhouse is 12,000 square feet.
  A 700 square foot conference room is available with a maximum seating capacity of 50.
  Visit the WISD Athletic Hall of Fame Room.
  Home and visitor dressing rooms are 2400 square feet.
  Each dressing room has 66 lockers.
  Separate Coaches' meeting rooms and training rooms are provided in each dressing room.
  The fieldhouse houses all WISD athletic offices.
 
  Press Box
 
 
  Press Box is 10,042 square feet with 3 levels and an elevator.
  Press/scout area is is on the 3rd floor and seats 40 people.
  The visitor coaches' booth is located on the 3rd floor and seats 9.
  The visitor radio booth on the 3rd floor seats 5.
  The home coaches' booth on the 3rd floor seats 9.
  The home radio booth on the 3rd floor seats 5.
  Telex field phone communication system provided - maximum 9 onfield headsets/8 pressbox headsets.
  Snack bar with refreshments is provided on the 3rd floor.
  A video balcony is located on the 4th floor.
  The VIP/Guest booth is located on the 4th floor with a seating capacity of 35.
 
  Concession Stands & Restrooms
 
 
  Four concession stands/restroom facilities are located at the four corners of the stadium and are 1400 square feet.
  Men's and women's restroom facilities are located at each concession stand.
  All concession revenues are retained by WISD.
 
  Entry Gates
 
 
  Four entry gates/ticket booths are located at each corner of the stadium.
  North/West ticket booths are located on the home (press box) side.
  South/East ticket booths are located on visitor side.
 
  Parking
 
 
  The stadium has 2,000 parking spaces - extra parking adjacent to stadium.
  There are 26 bus parking spaces for teams and support groups.
 
  Rental Fee
 
 
  The rental fee is $2000 plus 15% of the gross gate.
 
  Parking Charge
 
 
  There will be a $3.00/vehicle parking charge for non-WISD events retained by WISD.
  All 15 passenger vans/motor homes will be charged $5.00.
 
  Instant Video Replay
 
 
  There is an optional charge of $700 for use of video replay.
 
  Trophy
 
 
  A team trophy is provided to the winner of all playoff games by the Waco Chamber of Commerce.
 
  WISD Provides
 
 
  Security, ticket personnel, gate keepers, clock operators, PA announcer, stadium manager, field preparations, cleanup, maintenance crew, and lights
  Tickets for sale at the gate
  Dressing rooms for each team- ice and soft drinks provided for team
  Field phones for coaches - 9 phone wire system
  Pay all game expenses and provide a final gate sales report within ten working days following the event
 
  Competing School Provides
 
 
  Secure all game officials
  Game program and program sellers - for playoff games WISD has an organization that will provide and sell programs
  Provide WISD Athletic Office with a copy of pregame tickets sold and a ticket report
  Provide WISD Athletic Office with a copy of all passes to be honored and number of complimentary passes
  Sign and return the Stadium Use Contract
  Provide a copy of school liability insurance with WISD named as the third party
  Schools must provide a roster by Monday prior to game day- fax to the Athletic Office at (254)745-2254
 
  Stadium Regulations
 
 
  Dressing Rooms
    Game program and program sellers - for playoff games WISD has an organization that will provide and sell programs
 
 
  Ticket Gates
    Ticket gates will be opened 1.5 hours prior to game time.
    There are no in and out privileges. Reentry requires the purchase of a new ticket.
 
 
  Pressbox
    Pressbox will open 1.5 hours prior to game time.
    Admittance to pressbox is by PASS ONLY. All passes are acquired from stadium manager (Bill Lynch) in advance.
    Radio/Press must call in advance to have passes waiting in the elevator lobby with attendant.
 
 
  Playing Fields
    No metal or detachable/screw-on cleats may be worn on the turf.
    Use of tobacco, sunflower seeds, and gum prohibited.
    Only water can be used on the field. No colored drinks such as Gatorade may be used on the field.
    Absolutely no glass bottles, cans, or food allowed on the field.
    All equipment such as training table, fans, and heaters must have a protective base - make arrangements with the stadium manager.
    No live mascots are allowed.
    No cannons, noise makers, or confetti allowed.
    All run-through signs must be vinyl. DO NOT use painted paper.
    Band props must not mark or scar the field - such as chairs, ladders, etc.
    Only personnel with sideline passes can be on the field - spectators are not allowed on the field before or after the games.
 
 
  Stadium Bleachers
    Absolutely no climbing over the rails from the bleachers to the field.
    Spirit signs must be made of vinyl that can be tied to the stadium railing.
    Taping of signs to any stadium structure will not be permitted.
    There is ABSOLUTELY NO CROSSOVER by spectators from home side of the stadium to the visitor side of the the stadium or vise versa.
 
 
  Fieldhouse Patio
    This area is for team personnel only - all team personnel must have passes.
    Coaches' and players' families are only allowed in this area following the game.
    A motorized vehicle will be provided to take field equipment down the ramp to the field. ONLY ADULTS employed by the school may drive these vehicles.
